About
Rio was born and raised in Bali, Indonesia, where his passion for art—particularly drawing, painting, and music—developed from an early age. In 2003, he moved to Canada to study animation and pursue his dream of a career in the industry.
Upon completing his studies at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Rio began his professional journey as a character animator in 2006. This marked the beginning of a diverse and rewarding career, with Rio working as a freelance layout artist for various studios, sharing his expertise as a layout design instructor at Algonquin College, and ultimately stepping into his first leadership role as a layout supervisor in 2014.
Rio currently serves as the Head of 2D Layout department at Jam Filled Entertainment, following a decade-long tenure in a supervisory role.
