In 2003, he moved to Canada to study animation and pursue his dream of a career in the industry. Upon completing his studies at Algonquin College in Ottawa, Rio began his professional journey as a character animator in 2006. This marked the beginning of a diverse and rewarding career, with Rio working as a freelance layout artist for various studios, sharing his expertise as a layout design instructor at Algonquin College, and ultimately stepping into his first leadership role as a layout supervisor in 2014. Rio currently serves as the Head of 2D Layout department at Jam Filled Entertainment, following a decade-long tenure in a supervisory role.
